Julien Absalon new Carrera testimonial
The French cyclist, Julien Absalon, gold winner at the Athens Olympics 2004 and MTB cross country world-cycling champion at Les Gets in France, has decided to continue collaborating with the Bianchi-Agos team, which for one year has been using Carrera products , the cycling sports brand by the Safilo Group.
Julien Absalon, undisputed leader of the Bianchi-Agos mountain bike team, will therefore be the testimonial for Carrera, which will be providing him with glasses and helmets for the entire 2005 athletics season. Absalon will be alongside his current team members: French Thomas Dietsch, vice champion of the world marathon 2004 and winner of the European marathon in 2003 and 2004, and New Zealand champion, Kashi Leuchs.
With his recent important successes the French champion's popularity went far beyond the two wheels and the cross-country sector. This is why two French movie directors, Jean-Francois Verrier and Emmanuel Georges, wrote and produced a fifty-two minute documentary about the young mountain bike champion entitled: 'Julien Absalon - à la lumière des jeux', which will be broadcasted on the main French networks.
Like the rest of his team, the transalpine ace wears the Carrera DragonFly helmet especially for cycling, and the Carrera Shark technical glasses, both in the special 'Bianchi-blue' color.
