Hannes Trinkl visits Safilo

Hannes Trinkl, skiing champion and member of the Austrian Wunder-Team, received a special career award during a visit to the Safilo Group. Trinkl is testimonial for the sports brand of the company Carrera.

At 36, Trinkl has decided to retire as an athlete after numerous important achievements which have included World Downhill Champion in 2001 and bronze medallist at the Nagano Olympics in 1998.

After the meeting with the Chairman of the Group, Cavaliere del Lavoro Vittorio Tabacchi, Trinkl visited the department where the helmets and goggles he has always worn for racing are designed.

Safilo presented Trinkl with an antique copper basket filled with typical Italian products and, obviously, Carrera glasses, helmets and goggles for future skiing outings with the family.

The athlete then made a stopover at the Geremia Center in Padua for a spot of training with the Carrera Petrarca Rugby team, now playing in the Super 10 Championship.
