Gucci: new Ceo to be announced soon

Finanza & Mercati has let it slip that the name of Domenico De Sole's successor could be revealed any day now. By next week Ppr will in fact have concluded its perusal of the candidates.

The verdict of the French giant which controls 67.6% of Gucci and which is preparing to conclude an 8 billion takeover bid for the Italian fashion house, could be reached by the middle of the month: moreover, the bid to takeover the residual capital stock will start before end March and therefore investors will be evaluating Ppr's choice before deciding whether to accept the 85.52 dollars offered.

The name of Tom Ford's successor, however, will not be announced before the launch of the new collections in March.
