Giorgio Armani awarded in New York

Giorgio Armani is getting ready to receive the Fashion Group International's prestigious Superstar Award, which will be presented to him officially in New York at the annual Night of Stars Awards on October 28.

In the meantime, he has a packed schedule of engagements in the Big Apple. Yesterday night, a fashion show opened to the public has presented the spring/summer 2005 collections, already shown in Milan, and this has been followed by a party dedicated to the A/X Armani Exchange line.

This evening there will be a gala dinner, organized in Chelsea and hosted by the director of Vanity Fair America, Graydon Carter. The fascinating backdrop for the evening will be photographs from the recently published book, Oscar Night: 75 Years of Hollywood Parties, published by Knopf, and the next day Giorgio Armani will be autographing the first copies of a special edition at the Bergdorf Goodman department store.

On the morning of October 28, the stylist will be at a breakfast organized on the occasion of a benefit sale for the American Museum of Natural History, which will be held at the Giorgio Armani boutique on Madison Avenue.

In the evening, Armani will receive the Superstar Award from Michelle Pfeiffer and Martin Scorsese, who will be among the people sitting with the stylist along with Eva Green, the actress who interprets the Giorgio Armani advertising campaign for s/s 05, signed by photographer Mario Testino.
