
Gas into eyewear
In an interview with Modaonline, Claudio Grotto, founder and chairman of Gas, spoke about the brand's results and evolution. Between 1999 and 2003 its business increased by 60% and 2004 will close with billings of 130 million euros, an upturn of 8/9%.
Plans for the future aim at developing the brand: after the recent launch of its first perfume, Grotto declared that he intends to 'develop new types of products, initially eyewear, watches and accessories, to be made in collaboration with partners who totally share the brand's product-oriented values.'
In the meantime, come October 31 Gas will be presenting its new store in Seul, and it has announced that there is an important agreement for a new sports specialty. All will be officially revealed by the company within a month.
