Fabris Lane grows in 2003

In 2003, Fabris Lane Ltd. (the company founded in 1982 by the Italian Mario Fabris and the British Rod Lane, who met in 1970 whilst working at Mazzucchelli), achieved exceptional growth of 29% compared to 2002 and sales growth compared to 2001 was an incredible 94%.

This success has been achieved particularly thanks to the Fabris Lane Made in Italy brand, which achieved a 21% sales increase (with more than 400,000 units sold) vs 2002 reflecting the increased fashion-ability and profile of the brand. Moreover, the new Freerange sports sunglasses brand had a successful launch.

In 2003, a highly successful fashion print media and postcard campaign for Fabris Lane Made in Italy communicated that brands core values (protection, creation and care) to raise national brand awareness and drive sales. For 2004 each of the key brands will receive dedicated advertising support to achieve the same objectives.

A further key strategy for continued growth in 2004 is to develop the export business. This is to be achieved by building a strong portfolio of desirable and appealing licensed brands, such as Fcuk, Animal and Ben Sherman (to be launched Spring Summer 2004) which will be distributed in targeted markets, esp. the Usa, Australia, Japan and Germany.

The long-term objective is to build a global network of distribution, particularly to meet demand in the rest of Europe and the Far East.
