Allison signs eyewear licence with Alfred Dunhill

Allison and Alfred Dunhill have signed a five-year licence contract to design, manufacture and distribute their sunglasses and prescription eyewear from Autumn/Winter 2005.

Allison's inventiveness and expertise in design reflects the brand values inherent to Dunhill, making them an obvious choice for the luxury menswear and accessories brand.

The first Dunhill collection with Allison will include twenty five eyewear models and will make its debut at the Mido trade fair in spring 2005.

The prescription eyewear collection combines modern geometric shapes with classic design to create a style that is contemporary, chic and sophisticated, an understated look for the gentleman driver.

Inspired by Dunhill's heritage, the new line of sunglasses is a nod to the motoring roots of Alfred Dunhill. Evoking the classic design of motorcycle goggles from the Dunhill archives, these unique eyewear models have distinctly rounded lenses with a Havana tint and all black frames.

Creating innovative goggles and protective eyewear for motorists at the turn of the century was a passion for the brand's founder, Alfred Dunhill. Founded in 1893, Dunhill began as a supplier of luxury accessories to the early motorist and today offers a wide selection of the finest products including leathergoods, jewellery, timepieces, men's ready-to-wear, writing instruments, lighters and luxury gifts, through a global network of over 160 stores and 1,500 authorised dealers located in 50 countries. London houses the flagship store at 48 Jermyn St, their home in the heart of St. James's since 1907.

Allison will build on Dunhill's strong brand presence within Europe, Asia and the Usa, through intense international communication initiatives taking place during the launch of the new collection.
