Alain Mikli wins lawsuit against Classic Line

Alain Mikli, and the Companies Wis and Mikli Diffusion France, holder of all rights to and commercial exploitation of the optical frame model reference A0021, which is one of the leading models of the Alain Mikli Collections, have won a lawsuit against the company Classic Line, who counterfeited and sold that model.

By judgement on October 16, 2003, by the Tribunal of Commerce of Bobigny:
- has declared that Wis Company is holder of authorship rights on the original model of the optical frame reference A0021;
- has condemned the company Classic Line to pay the Companies Wis and Mikli Diffusion France the sum of 50 000 Euros in damages for counterfeiting and 80 000 Euros in damages for unfair competition for having commercialized a counterfeit Alain Mikli optical frame model A0021.

The validity of this model, the rights of the Wis Company to this model belonging to Alain Mikli, and the counterfeiting acts, have been recognized by the Company Classic Line, who does not intend to appeal the rendered decision and who undertakes to no longer sell the counterfeit model.
