CSE Award

CSE Award @MIDO 2025

The award addressed to the MIDO 2025 exhibitors that respect sustainability principles making glasses and cases.

For the third edition of CSE AWARD - Certified Sustainable Eyewear, an  international jury of experts will evaluate, using specific criteria you can find in the regulation, if the candidate products  from the exhibitors are made with recycling materials, reducing consumption during production and distribution processes, valuing the supply chain, cutting waste, using renewable energy etc.

TOMMY HILFIGER by Safilo, for the frame made with Acetate Renew and recycled demo lenses. More than 95% of Acetate waste is recycled.

NATURA by NEWAY / Macao

Rest of the world
NATURA di NEWAY, frame that convinced the jury because of its acetate, intended for sustainable eyewear: it is made of bio-content and it is fully biodegradable.

LLEXAN ITALIA with Babe 24, a horizontal case with three different materials: vegan leather derived from wine marc, PS Recycled for the plastic hard internal part and “Riessere Unici”, a recycled acetate patented by Llexan Italy.
