Wonders are ahead
The first MIDO | Digital Edition, waiting for the edition in presence of April 2022, had as protagonists the international eyewear operators who were able to present the collections thanks to the showcases of the platform created specifically for the occasion. Opened by the institutional greetings of the Mayor of Milano Giuseppe Sala and the President of ITA Agency Carlo Ferro, two main events: the opening ceremony Wonders are ahead that had as its common thread the beautiful, told in a special show with great emotional impact, with an exceptional guest, the photographer Albert Watson and MIDO Mashup with chef Massimo Bottura, the designer Fabio Novembre, in addition to Albert Watson.
The new online formula has allowed to involve the public in several successful initiatives. Many have tried on history and curiosity of the world of eyewear, with the contest Trivia by MIDO (14 questions about the coolest accessory) and the election of Your BeStore, special category of the BeStore award, awarded by a jury of international experts.
The numbers
Over 30 events, 60 guests and more than 400 brands, almost 50,000 interactions on the business platform, 438 showcase pages, more than 5,700 registered users, 50% international presence: these are the numbers of the "transitional" edition between the pandemic and April 2022, which also confirmed in this immersive formula its international vocation, the role of industry leader and the ability to generate business.
