Never Ending Wonder
The 2016 edition also meets the expectations of exhibitors, visitors and organizers. Many novelties this year including: the introduction of MORE!, satellite area of the Design Lab that has always hosted the most daring and innovative companies, to which it will be connected with a tunnel. MORE! was born as a laboratory of ideas, concepts and experiments where will be placed companies that make creativity, design and innovation their cornerstones.
This year it was then decided to increase the presence on social media by opening accounts on Instagram, LinkedIn - where MIDO is present as a company and where useful information is provided to all professionals in the sector - on Google+ and Flickr, which will be active with the start of the Fair. Two dedicated hashtags: #MIDO2016 and #NeverEndingWonder.
After the success of the first edition, also for 2016 the BESTORE award is confirmed to the store that offers the best shopping experience. In line with the evolution of concept stores, MIDO continues to promote the circulation of new ideas on the fundamental elements for an effective strategy of visual merchandising: the importance of interior design, product display and customer interaction in a pleasant and creative environment. BESTAND AWARD is the other MIDO prize: for the third year, visitors voted the most stimulating, innovative and interesting stand of the event.
The numbers
Over 52,000 attendees from 157 countries, 1,230 exhibitors (of which 106 new) from 49 nations distributed in 6 pavilions + 1 satellite area and 8 exhibition areas. Social media is still growing: the official hashtag #MIDO2016 appeared in 10,000 Instagram posts and tweets and Facebook followers are 2,000+.
More than 200 press releases total, with 340 accredited journalists. 18 meetings in the Otticlub area with over 40 speakers.
