
Larry Clarke Is Named President and COO of Satisloh AG
The Satisloh Group has appointed Larry Clarke as president and chief operating officer of Satisloh AG, effective Oct. 1. In his new role, Clarke will be responsible for distribution of Satisloh equipment worldwide, as well as R&D and production. He reports to Norbert Gorny, president and CEO of The Satisloh Group, and will relocate to Baar, where the company is based. Clarke will continue as Satisloh North America's president until further notice, the company said in a statement. A 25-year optical industry veteran, Clarke began his ophthalmic career in 1989 with Nanofilm Corp. as vice president of sales and marketing. He started in the equipment business in 1999 by establishing the first wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary for Satis Vacuum. When Loh Optical Machinery and Satis Vacuum merged in 2005, Clarke was named president of the newly formed Satisloh North America. Essilor International acquired Satisloh in 2008.
