On Saturday 9 and 10 September at the Stazione Leopolda of Florence, there will be the 11th edition of DaTE, where avantgarde eyewear will be revealed with its most innovative features. Many of the most creative designers will present their proposals, where inspiration and experimentation unite in futuristic visions.
While waiting for DaTE, we have interviewed some of the Dan Levi, General Manager of J.F. Rey.
What is your concept of creativity?
For J.F. Rey, creativity is much more than a simple concept; it is the actual essence of our brand, permeating throughout our whole design process.
Being creative means constantly searching for innovation and translating it into recognisable yet unexpected design results.
Our design team is driven by real passion for the product. This involves a non-stop search for colours, materials, technologies and shapes that allow the creation of eyewear which is functional, original, innovative and also able to induce emotion.
What vision do you want to bring to DaTE? Why have you chosen this fair again?
We believe in fairs as important opportunities to meet our customers and work partners.
DaTE, scheduled at the beginning of September, is a great way to “start up again” after the summer holiday.
How will you communicate your design strategy at DaTE?
DaTE is an opportunity to present our new collections. We will premiere the first J.F. Rey sunglasses collection, which echoes the classic models of our brand developed for men and women, combining technical and aesthetic excellence; all our models offer high-quality polarised lenses.
We have introduced a new concept (Sledge) in titanium and acetate with new screw-less flex hinges for the temples, developed by our design team: we also present the newest evolutions in other concepts and classics of our collections.
