VisionOttica has a new web platform

The Italian optics group has worked conscientiously to find the correct (and complex) balance between the physical and digital worlds by creating a ‘pathway’ whose aim is to form a relationship between the user/customer and the optics center to improve the business of its affiliated entrepreneurs.The main purpose of the new VisionOttica website is to increase traffic for affiliated optics centers by harnessing technology, optical solutions and the business’ services.With a completely new layout and content, the website offers users an innovative and engaging experience through the use of augmented reality technology.By introducing a catalog of own-brand and private label prescription and sun frames, the website allows users to virtually try on the eyewear in augmented reality through the exclusive VisionOttica Mirror system. The technology can be used in real time, as well as from a mobile. The device “captures” the virtual try-on image and shares it on Facebook to gather feedback from friends concerning the eyewear in question.In addition to the virtual try-on, the heart of the platform consists of different modules offering different types of services for users and, as a result, for affiliated optics centers as well, thanks to the traffic that will be generated by the use and promotion of the services themselves.
