The world of Alessandro Mendini

"My work is like a story in which seriousness, pain, comedy and poetry co-exist, side by side. And my objects are tragicomic characters.” This is how Alessandro Mendini described his poetry.
Eight months after his death, the Groninger Museum, a building created by Mendini himself 25 years ago, is dedicating the exhibition “Mondo Mendini -The World of Alessandro Mendini” to the great architect and designer.

Consisting of over 200 works and open to the public until 5 May 2020, the exhibition is visually overwhelming and presents a humorous reflection on Mendini’s career as an architect and designer.
