Andrea Carpenzano - who starred in the film Il Campione, the joint recipient of the best debut film prize - is the winner of the ninth edition of the Persol-Nastri d’Argento Personality of the year Award. The award is assigned by Film Journalists to the director or actor who produced a truly memorable performance during the year. Andrea Carpenzano also happened to be this year’s youngest lead actor nominee and this choice is perfectly in line with the values of quality, style and personality that Persol has always represented and its special bond with Italian cinema. In the film Carpenzano plays the part of an insubordinate footballing genius, and his credible, emotional and empathic performance really connects with the audience.
