The “Palme d’Or” of eyewear
Saturday 27 May brought the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival to a close, with the coveted top award going to "Anatomy of a Fall" directed by Justine Triest.
For ten days, it was a non-stop succession of glamorous screenings, parties and events. The stars took to the Croisette red carpet in all their glory, with extravagant, dreamy, shiny and naked looks to show off their figures.
For actors, directors and models, eyewear played a leading role in this show, establishing its place as an indisputable fashion accessory. Let’s take a look at the celebrities’ selected eyewear in this article.

The fashion influencer and model is wearing a pair of statement acetate sunglasses with an unusual butterfly-shaped frame. The outsize lenses are neatly flushed into the milled rims. The glasses are enhanced with elegant details such as the iconic metal sticker embellishments on the front. The temples feature the same motif integrated with the metal logo.
Cindy Bruna @ Marc Jacobs
While the French model walked the red carpet in a bodice micro-dress matched with a black tulle train, for her daytime look she went for a more serious creamy white colour and large black glasses with a slight butterfly-effect frame.
Alex Rivere @ Carolina Herrera
Large and bold shapes for the Carolina Herrera sunglasses worn by the young Spanish entrepreneur. The frames are enhanced by the gold-coloured logo on the temples.
Rawdah Mohamed @ Cartier
Cat-eye sunglasses with rimless metal frame and gold finish for the influencer and model who is politically active in the field of Muslim women’s rights. The frames are characterised by the smudged effect of the lenses and the panther head details with 3D geometric profiles, enhanced with details in contrasting colour enamel.
Valentina Romani @ Isabel Marant
The actress Valentina Romani, known for her role as Naditza in the “Mare Fuori” TV series, arrived at the Cannes Film Festival with two films: “Il sol dell'avvenire” by Nanni Moretti and the animated film “Elemental”, for which she voices the character of Ember Lumen.
The sunglasses carry the Isabel Marant branding and stand out for their cat-eye shape and bold temples.
Paola Cossentino @ Victoria Beckham Eyewear
The visual content creator chose a butterfly-shaped frame, with the V-plaque detail decisively sculpted on the temples and glossy acetates suitable for all glam types.
