The LVMH Group elects Alessandro Zanardo as CEO of Thélios.
The appointment of Alessandro Zanardo to the top management of Thélios has been made with immediate effect. Zanardo succeeds Giovanni Zoppas, who ran the company until May 2021. The choice was announced by Andrea Guerra, CEO of Lvmh: “With the complete acquisition of Thélios by the Group, we are delighted to begin this new chapter under the supervision of Alessandro”.
The new CEO has an impressive curriculum vitae: after graduating in Economics and Management at Bocconi University, he obtained an MBA in International Economics at SDA Bocconi. His career began in 2002 at Ferrari after which, in 2007, he went to work for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. In 2010 he started working in the eyewear industry: Zanardo held various positions within the Luxottica Group, both corporate and marketing, including Business Development Director in Russia, Country Manager in South Africa and, finally, Managing Director in Brazil. He left Luxottica in 2021.
