The two projects will be carried out, one in the Belluno area and the other in Ethiopia. In the Belluno area, an articulated training program created by the Lions Club Cadore Dolomiti and supported by public institutions and Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti to promote women's emancipation and gender equality.
In Ethiopia, support, together with the non-profit organization Amici di Adamitullo , for the project of the Salesians of Don Bosco for the creation of a school for company secretaries.
The Italian project
In the Belluno area, the Fondazione has supported the ‘PerCorso di Empowerment’ (Empowerment Course) for girls aged between 16 and 19 living in the Cadore region, aimed at increasing awareness of their rights and their human and professional potential.
An educational experience to stimulate the imagination and desire of young women to want to make their own contribution to the political, economic and social progress of the country.
Not just courses, but a complete human and experiential journey to all intents and purposes that began in December and has developed substantially over the first few months of the year.
Around ten events are scheduled, with weekly/bi-weekly workshops and meetings with prestigious speakers, including professional trainers on gender equality, academics and local professionals.
An ambitious and far-reaching project sponsored by the Municipality of Pieve di Cadore and the Municipality of Auronzo, and realised thanks to the support of Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti and the Fondazione Marisa Bellisario - Veneto delegation.
The project in Ethiopia
A project for the founding of a school for company secretaries, which has been greatly desired and promoted by The Salesians of Don Bosco in collaboration with the Associazione Amici di Adamitullo E.T.S., a town-twinning between Padua-Italy and Addis Ababa-Ethiopia.
The project envisages the opening of a school of 20 female-only classes, dedicated to training young girls to develop business secretarial skills.
A valuable and tangible initiative to support the emancipation of women in a country where anti-feminist social and economic inequality continues to represent a significant problem.
In fact, many girls have real difficulty finding suitable and decent work, which would enable them to become self-sufficient.
A school, therefore, to promote the work of women as an individual affirmation and provide them with the freedom to make their own decisions in life, but also as an important element of transformation for a society where women are still struggling to assert their rights.
