The Chrysler Building becomes the source of inspiration for wallpaper.

The Chrysler Building becomes the source of inspiration for wallpaper.

The iconic Chrysler Building in New York City was completed on May 27th 1930, which means that this year we are celebrating 90 years since its construction. Designed by architect William Van Alen, the Chrysler Building is recognized as an emblematic example of the Art Deco style, both in its facade and interior.

With its impressive spire that has made it an undisputed architectural icon, this skyscraper is a symbol of progress, innovation and modernity, themes that were taken into account by the Murals Wallpaper design team when creating these designs.

Murals Wallpaper - a company specialising in wallpaper - pays tribute to the Chrysler Building, drawing inspiration from its remarkable Art Deco influences. Its stylised motifs in the shape of sunrays, triangular formations, stacked arch details and the mix of curved lines and sharp angles that can be seen in the lift, lobby and its famous steel spire inspired the designs of these detailed wallpapers.
