SNOB Milan strengthens its ties with ZEISS Sunlens

Written by MIDO | 10/04/2023

SNOB Milano returns with its usual unmistakable style: contemporary and refined design that is never wild, and a playful approach to volumes, thicknesses and colours that is revisited season after season while remaining faithful to the brand's own DNA.

The current collection contains 300 references, which includes 7 new plastic models, 2 new titanium models and 2 BioLUX versions of iconic models: a variety that consistently conveys the spirit of the brand by perfectly mixing lightness and materiality. A key role is played by the use of colour, which this season, in addition to the ever-present black and tortoiseshell classics, favours soft shades such as sage, powder and sugar paper alongside more intense colours such as burgundy or teal, softened by interplay between transparency and opacity.

The unique magnetic solar clip-on

SNOB Milano is now widely recognized as "the" collection with magnetic solar clip-on made even more precious thanks also to an exclusive small "Z" on ZEISS Sunlens branded sun filters: the link between the Sunlens department of the German giant ZEISS and the young Lombard brand is now an inseparable one that guarantees quality and optical excellence throughout the range.

Clean lines and volumetric play for acetates

The first one is square, and the second is sinuous and sensual: Falco and Supra are the top models of the season in the plastic segment, in which Giuàn Mari, Laica, and Twiggy, just to name a few, are also included: all characterised by clean lines and a playful take on volumes. As always, there is a subtle irony behind the names of each new model.

More and more space for titanium

The space dedicated to titanium is also growing: the range was introduced a few seasons ago as a cameo to pay tribute to the 100th anniversary of Sordelli, the historic manufacturer of the brand, with a limited edition pair of glasses. Much appreciated abroad, this segment today includes 6 models to which two new pantos are added for next season: Specialotto and Spyder.

Continued focus on sustainability

Last but not least, the BioLUX segment is increasingly focused on experimenting with new ideas – materials, processes and colours – provided they're eco-friendly and meet the brand's aesthetic and quality standards. The glasses in this family are all made from plant-derived bio-plastic – a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic – combined with temples made from beta-titanium – an extremely lightweight, resistant and flexible material that is also hypoallergenic, non-toxic and biocompatible, and ZEISS Sunlens climate-friendly lenses. Milf BioLUX and Gerri BioLUX are the new models for this segment, two iconic models of the collection offered in versions with the least environmental impact: same design, same quality, alternative materials.
