Seletti and IED Florence together embracing “irreverent” creative contamination

The Italian brand Seletti, known for its unconventional, playful, and imaginative furniture design, takes center stage at the IED Florence campus.

“The collaboration with Seletti offers our students the chance not only to explore new aesthetics and visual languages infused with irony and paradox but also to break traditional molds and blur the boundaries between design and art. This approach conveys cultural, emotional, and even provocative messages,” says Benedetta Lenzi, Director of IED Florence.

Thanks to the partnership with the set design and event production studio Archivio Personale, the Institute is transformed into an immersive visionary space. The setup features pieces from Seletti’s Toiletpaper collection — furniture, armchairs, mirrors, rugs, and many accessories — where the brand’s eccentric style merges with the surreal imagery of the Toiletpaper magazine, founded by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari.

“Seletti has always resonated with the world of young people. This genuine connection with the new generations is what makes the brand so special, capable of anticipating trends and bringing fresh, innovative energy to every project. Collaborating with IED Florence has been a true pleasure — a unique opportunity to share our passion for design in such a stimulating and creative environment,” says Stefano Seletti, Creative Director of Seletti.

The partnership kicks off on December 17 with a photoshoot in the curated spaces, featuring the IED Florence community. The shoot will be captured by photographer Jody Mattioli, with styling by Pier Fioraso, a fashion consultant.
