On November 10, Essilor will hold the first Global Varilux Summit on the Essilor Vision Care Center virtual platform.

A network of more than 10,000 vision professionals from over 66 countries will be involved in a unique event available in 11 languages: the Global Varilux Summit.

The conference will focus on presbyopia research findings and the latest innovations in vision correction. Attendees will learn about the latest market research on consumer choice and trends in vision correction management; hear from experts and researchers on scientific developments in presbyopic patient correction and innovation in progressive lens design; and share best practices among peers.

The Global Varilux Summit will offer an interesting program in which several key topics will be explored in depth through:

- a one-hour plenary session discussing life and vision after age 40; innovations in presbyopia correction; scientific advances in progressive lens design; and care for Varilux lens wearers.

- Three interactive sessions of thirty minutes each will address other key topics: psychology of young presbyopes; successful adaptation to Varilux lenses; clinical management of presbyopia.

Of absolute note is the panel of speakers hosted by Agnes Dewidehem, Global Essilor Brands Senior Vice President and Dr. Howard Purcell, OD, FAAO, President and CEO of the New England College of Optometry (USA).
