Oliver Peoples has opened this month its first boutique in mainland China at the Jing’An Kerry Center in Shanghai. The location marks a crucial expansion to provide Chinese consumers with an authentic, shopping experiences to match their knowledge and appreciation of high quality and professionally crafted eyewear. Vision care solutions, a wide range of eyewear styles as well as services are brought under one roof in the boutique to enhance the galley inspired settings and in-store experience for customers. The boutique specifically has an on-site optician, highly-trained LensCrafters eyecare professionals, alongside custom frame fittings and prescription services. The goal is to ensure that every customer’s experience is unique and specific to their individual needs and personal style.
Opened in 1987 in the heart of West Hollywood, the first Oliver Peoples boutique established the unique, vintage-inspired designs and distinct retail identity that continues to shape the brand today. With a focus on client experience, and functional yet beautiful design, the new Shanghai boutique considers the unique nature of its surrounding region and culture while maintaining a consistent voice through subtle but identifiable details.
