Morel has successfully addressed and solved a key industry problem: the disposal of plastic demonstration lenses that are thrown away when fitting corrective lenses.
After months of research, the company, in collaboration with one of its historic European partners, has created the first demonstration lenses made of recycled acrylic that are 100 percent recyclable.
Since Sept. 1, all Morel frames have been fitting these lenses, which become part of a virtuous circle because they are infinitely recyclable. In this way, the company will avoid using 6 tons of traditional plastic.
