Marcolin blows out 60 candles and launches a new hub in Milan.
Marcolin celebrates its 60th birthday and, to commemorate this important event, has decided to open a new hub in Milan in Corso Venezia, opposite the Planetarium, while also introducing a new logo and an Exclusive Edition of Web Eyewear designed for the occasion. The news was announced by Fabrizio Curci, CEO and General Manager of the Group, during a press conference held at the new Milan premises and broadcast also online: “2021 is an important year for the Group, which celebrates its 60th birthday. The Milan site is a true hub, which will allow us to meet customers both in person and in phygital mode.
We have carried out many changes in terms of team structure and division of responsibilities to improve our efficiency, while implementing a real upgrade and modernisation of our manufacturing system. We have, therefore, optimised our use of resources and strengths, to satisfy all our stakeholders”.
The strategy undertaken by Marcolin also includes internationalisation, as Curci highlighted: “In the last few months, we have become the major shareholder in joint ventures in China and Russia. In the next few days, we will announce a new branch in China.
This international presence, along with the new premises in Milan and improved technology, will increase our ability to attract new top talent”.
Curci ended his speech with a message on the economic progress of his company: “Marcolin is a company in ‘good shape’: our corporate refinancing will guarantee us six years of financial stability. We have already repaid our 2020 loan from SACE and we are extremely proud of this achievement.
In the next few days we will release the figures for the first six months of 2021, and our recovery is perhaps even faster than the second half of 2020 allowed us to hope”.
