This 52nd edition proved to be an unmissable event for the eyewear world, with numerous awards recognizing innovation, design, and tradition.

This year, the Maestro Ottico Day and the concurrent Graziella Pagni Eyewear Award reached their 52nd edition. The event, held on Sunday, October 27, in the magnificent Palazzo Borghese in Florence, once again stood out for its high attendance and impressive numbers.

Thanks to the presence of the organizing staff from the Italian Association of Opticians and Optometrists (AIO), Eidos Communication, and over 270 attendees, the event truly took on the status of a key industry event.

The day was organized by Eidos Communication, with sponsorship and support from notable names such as MIDO, the international eyewear fair in Milan, as well as companies like Shamir, Modellando, CSO, Santi Envelope, Ronchini Massimo, and Italart.

A total of 47 Master Optician awards were presented, along with 40 plaques for historic shops and 45 commemorative plaques marking 40, 50, and 60 years in the optician profession. These significant recognitions were accompanied by OTTICO 2.0 awards for innovation.

For the Graziella Pagni Eyewear Award, prizes were divided this year into two categories—design and fashion—along with two traditional awards: the Grand Jury Prize for the product with the most overall votes, and the Grand Elegance Award, chosen by the Graziella Pagni Eyewear Award jury.

The collection with the highest overall votes from the jury was the Henry Jullien collection by iVision Tech France, while the Grand Elegance Award was presented to OMAS Design’s collection.

In the fashion category, the winning model was by Toffoli Costantino, followed by the Phtobya collection from Fabbrica Italiana Occhiali and Martini Occhiali's entry in third place. In the design category, the Ma-Wood collection W-eye took the prize, followed by Tris Ottica's LaMarca collection and Italart’s Air3D collection. All these models are particularly notable and reflect thoughtful design processes developed over the years, representing the best evolution for an industry that proves to be more vibrant than ever at every level.
