Karl Lamprecht is the new President and CEO of Carl Zeiss

On 1 April 2020, Karl Lamprecht became the new President and CEO of Carl Zeiss AG, succeeding Prof. Michael Kaschke, long-time President and CEO of Carl Zeiss AG. The decision was made unanimously by the Supervisory Board of Carl Zeiss AG, during a meeting held on 24 September 2019.

With the appointment of Karl Lamprecht, once again the position of President and CEO is filled by a person from within the company. Mr. Lamprecht is a member of the Carl Zeiss AG Executive Board and has successfully led the ZEISS SMT (Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology) division since 2017. He joined the company in 2005 as Head of Strategic Business Development for Semiconductor Technology, and he continued his professional development always in the ZEIST SMT area. Over the years, he has also developed several key skills, such as the design of strategies associated with innovation and growth and the acquisition of new technologies.
