A new collaboration for a collection of prescription glasses and sunglasses with a sporty and urban style.
Kappa has announced a new partnership with Visibilia, an Italian eyewear company founded in 1992, for the design, production, and distribution of its eyewear line. The exclusive licensing agreement will commence in the second half of 2025 and will be valid until December 2030.
The collaboration marks Visibilia’s return to managing a globally recognized brand. “With Kappa, we are once again working on a prestigious license, strengthening our presence in major global markets,” stated Dan Levi, eyewear group consultant. The collection will be distributed starting in September 2025 across ten European markets, including Italy, and in other countries through international distributors. The official launch is set to take place during Silmo 2025.
Since 2010, Visibilia has primarily operated in Germany, expanding its network by acquiring branches in Spain and France and building a portfolio of successful house brands and licenses. The agreement with Kappa represents a significant step in further reinforcing the group’s presence in the eyewear sector.
Ralf Kmoch, General Manager of Visibilia, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “Kappa is an iconic brand with a strong and recognized heritage. Our shared goal is to bring this unique identity into the world of eyewear, expanding the brand's international presence and supporting our growth in key markets.”
Alessandro Boglione, Executive Vice President of BasicNet and President of Kappa, also commented: “Eyewear is a natural extension of our brand. We are confident that, with Visibilia’s support, Kappa will strengthen its position in the eyewear sector while remaining true to our distinctive sporty style.”
The first Kappa by Visibilia collections, featuring both prescription and sunglasses for men, women, and teens, will debut in August 2025. The line will showcase a basic, urban, and sporty style, perfectly aligned with the brand's identity.
