Axolight, an Italian-American lighting design company, has created “Jewel”, a collection of suspension lamps whose distinctive element – a double crossed arch – is made from recycled and recyclable material. The line is a perfect example of how design and sustainability come together and create something unique, as is stressed by Giuseppe Scaturro, CEO of Axolight: “On the occasion of World Environment Day dedicated to the theme of plastic waste, we wanted to symbolically send the first prototype of Jewel to the printing presses. Ours is a sartorial workshop of decorative lights, and we thrive on practicality and emotion. And what workshop is more practical and exciting than the environment?”
