Immagine98 dona 4.500 montature alla Rotary Foundation

Immagine98 has donated 4,500 optical frames to Rotary District 2060, which encompasses all the Rotary Clubs in the Triveneto area (North-Eastern Italy). The eyewear will be sent to the Rotary Foundation which for over 100 years has been converting donations into social projects that contribute to improving the lives of the most underprivileged peoples.
Over 90 percent of the donations made to the Rotary Foundation goes directly to support service projects all over the world. The aim is to benefit education, fight disease, promote peace, provide water and toilets, develop local economies and provide support for mothers and children.
The frames – which will be mounted with corrective lenses – will be given to young people and adults with sight problems that were diagnosed during eyesight screenings. These were performed as part of a project whose objective is to train local technicians in underprivileged countries thanks to the support of international professionals. In particular, the eyewear will be given to schools in certain areas of Central America, Africa and Asia, identified by the Rotary Foundation project to which Prof. Mario Angi of the University of Ophthalmology, Padua, takes part. They will be available for students and teachers alike, thereby facilitating both teaching and learning for several years because they will remain at the schools when the courses have ended.
