Kering's maison also earns second place overall among the top 250 brands and retailers
Fashion Revolution, one of the world's leading nonprofit fashion activism movements, compiled its new report that measures the level of transparency of the world's fashion brands based on their public information about climate and energy-related actions. Specifically, the 2024 edition of the report was devoted entirely to the topic of decarbonization. The ranking analyzed 71 indicators related to five main metrics: reporting, decarbonization, energy supply, financing for the path to decarbonization, promotion to transition and renewable energy.
With a score of 82 percent for reporting activities, 72 percent in the decarbonization section, 80 percent for energy supply, and 100 percent financing activated to support decarbonization and 52 percent for the promotion of transition process, Gucci ranks first among luxury companies worldwide.
This year’s report also comes with a call to action: Fashion Revolution wants brands to commit to “put their money where their emissions are”, investing 2 per cent of their annual revenue into clean, renewable energy, and upskilling and supporting workers.
