Ewa Abrams Appointed President of Kering Americas

The manager, who has been the General Counsel of the same geographic division since 2018, will report to the Group's Deputy CEO, Jean-Marc Duplaix, and will succeed Laurent Claquin, who has become Chief Brand Officer

 

Kering is pleased to announce the appointment of Ewa Abrams as President of Kering Americas, effective August 1, 2024. Ewa Abrams, currently General Counsel of Kering Americas, will take on this strategic role, bringing her extensive experience in the luxury sector and deep understanding of corporate operations. She will report directly to Jean-Marc Duplaix, Deputy CEO, responsible for operations and finance. The new President succeeds Laurent Claquin, who has recently assumed the role of Chief Brand Officer for the Group.

Since joining Kering in 2018, Ewa Abrams has played a key role as General Counsel for Kering Americas. She is also a board member of the Kering Foundation in the Americas and co-chair of the internal Women In Luxury Americas program, demonstrating a strong commitment to mentorship and promoting diversity within the company.

"Her experience within the group and her extensive knowledge of the luxury sector will be crucial in supporting Kering's strategy and development in the region," as stated in the company’s press release.

Before joining Kering, Ewa Abrams spent over 17 years at Tiffany & Co., where she held the position of Vice President – Associate General Counsel, Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer. Throughout her career, Ewa has demonstrated unwavering dedication to learning and sharing knowledge, also serving as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University since 2016. Ewa Abrams graduated from Bucknell University and earned her Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Brooklyn Law School.
