Essilux, new record at the Paris Stock Exchange: market capitalization exceeds 100 Billion
Milleri fulfills Leonardo Del Vecchio's dream. Meta shows interest.
A historic day for EssilorLuxottica on the stock exchange: the stock, a product of the Luxottica merger driven by Leonardo Del Vecchio, closed up 2% at €221.9 in Paris, after hitting a high of €222.6.
This new record allowed the company to surpass the symbolic threshold of €100 billion in market capitalization, a milestone Del Vecchio referred to as the "Champions League," the club of global companies exceeding that value. The goal was publicly stated last April by Francesco Milleri, chairman and CEO of the group.
Despite macroeconomic challenges, EssilorLuxottica confirmed its growth in the third quarter and recently extended its collaboration with Mark Zuckerberg. Meta has also expressed interest in acquiring a stake in Essilux, possibly through market purchases.
