EssilorLuxottica Among the World’s 10 Most Innovative Companies

The group ranks eighth in Fast Company’s 2025 list thanks to cutting-edge technologies and an integrated vision of design and health.

EssilorLuxottica has secured a spot in the Top 10 of the World’s Most Innovative Companies 2025 ranking, published by Fast Company. The Franco-Italian group placed eighth, alongside global tech leaders such as Nvidia and Byd, and ahead of companies like YouTube and Deepseek.

The company’s inclusion in the list is attributed to its ability to combine technological innovation with design, with a growing focus on individual well-being. Among its most recent products are the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, developed in collaboration with Meta, and the Nuance Audio frames, which feature invisible acoustic devices integrated directly into the eyewear.

In addition to product development, EssilorLuxottica has strengthened its market position through strategic acquisitions, including Heidelberg Engineering and Espansione. These moves are part of a broader strategy aimed at integrating advanced features for vision, hearing, and overall wellness—reflecting a product philosophy that goes beyond mere corrective function.

In an interview with Fast Company, Chairman and CEO Francesco Milleri emphasized the importance of design as a means of expressing personality, stating that glasses “must first and foremost be beautiful—a way to express one’s individuality.” He also highlighted the value of the company’s global distribution network, describing it as “a far more significant enabling factor than artificial intelligence.”
