Design and couture join forces in the pursuit of sustainability.
Drinking more water can be both a good habit and a fashion statement, which is why London-based designer Emilia Wickstead has designed for Waterdrop a capsule collection of three bottles.
Designed to last and to reduce plastic usage, the bottles are decorated with floral, colourful and bold prints, combining the designer’s intense and conscious vision with the idea that design is an essential element.
The designer commented on the selected prints as follows: “Our inspiration this season is romantic, with a slight touch of the surreal and melancholy."
It is strongly influenced by old films and my imagination was sparked for this collection by Last Year at Marienbad, a French New Wave film from the 1960s which tells a story that may or may not have happened. I love the bold pink print because it’s lively and emotive. I hope all women feel excited to wear and carry this print."
