De Rigo slips glasses to Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini.

De Rigo and Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini have signed a licensing agreement for the production and distribution of the brand's new eyewear line controlled by Italian group Aeffe.

The launch of the collection, which will coincide with Spring/Summer 2022, will allow Philosophy to complete the brand's clothing and accessories offer through a proposal of sunglasses and eyewear that will interpret the stylistic codes of the mais on.

"I’m delighted to embark on this new journey with an exceptional partner such as De Rigo", commented Lorenzo Serafini, Creative Director of the Philosophy brand. "The launch of this eyewear line reflects the progressive evolution of Philosophy - a world which is being enriched with new products, all coherent with the most authentic spirit of the brand".

"We’re pleased to be able to make our know-how available to one of the most interesting brands on the Italian fashion scene today", added Michele Aracri, CEO of De Rigo Vision. "This agreement represents the consolidation of a relationship of mutual satisfaction that began last year with  Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini by Lozza capsule collection. This partnership will efficiently boost the exclusivity and prestige of the brand also in the eyewear sector".

The first collection, which will be available from February at selected opticians, as well as at Philosophy stores and at the brand’s online store, comprises six styles - four sunglasses and two prescription  frames.

The sunglasses offering ranges from a feminine acetate cat-eye frame - proposed both in more classic variants, such as black and tortoiseshell, and in pop colors, including honey, purple and green - to a bold mask style. The sunglasses collection also features a metal frame with a futuristic ‘90s look, a style which made its debut at the Philosophy Spring/Summer 2022 show, and an oversized style with a more squared shape sporting a lightweight metal frame.

In the optical line, Philosophy offers two acetate options, including a sophisticated cat-eye and a round frame with an intellectual-chic vibe.

Each model is characterised by the metallic PLS logo applied to the temples. Adding a special touch, each eyewear style is paired with a customized case crafted from a material with an iridescent mirror effect.
