De Rigo H.E.ART Foundation Finances the Construction of Europe's Largest Themed Inclusive Park
Inspired by "Peter Pan," the 660-square-meter theme park in Belluno will offer educational games for over 130 children, promoting equality and well-being in the community
The De Rigo H.E.ART Foundation, always committed to supporting young people in accessing the inalienable rights to health and education, proudly announces the creation of the first themed inclusive park in Europe, which will be built within the Città di Bologna park in the municipality of Belluno. The project, promoted by the Belluno Fire Brigade Recreational Club, will be inaugurated in October 2024.
The pirate ship, mermaid lagoon, crocodile creek, skull rock, hanging tree, Indian camp... The story of "Peter Pan" inspires the design of this playground, made possible by the financial support of the De Rigo Foundation, once again demonstrating its strong connection to its territory and its people. The 660-square-meter park will feature 12 fully inclusive games where over 130 children can play together in their uniqueness. The games will be designed to be accessible to children with or without disabilities (physical, cognitive, or sensory), representing a unique example in the European landscape as a themed park.
"We imagine a place where every child, regardless of their physical or cognitive abilities, can enjoy their childhood to the full during play," says Barbara De Rigo, President of Fondazione De Rigo H.E.ART Onlus. "An inclusive park is not just a leisure space, but a symbol of community and its values. For us, sustaining its realisation means investing in a more equitable and supportive future for every child and making a concrete commitment to improve the lives of young people and their families".
Support for the inclusive Peter Pan theme park is just one of the many projects promoted by Fondazione De Rigo H.E.ART Onlus to promote the growth and development of young people, in line with the values of solidarity and social commitment that have always distinguished it. An initiative that can improve the quality of life of the young people of Belluno, becoming a model for inclusion and collective well-being in other cities and communities.
