De Rigo and Philipp Plein present the first phygital eyewear associated with an NFT.

Philipp Plein chose his boutique in Paris in Avenue George V, for an exclusive launch event on 24 September of the Crypto King$ Limited Edition, the first phygital eyewear proposal. The result of a partnership with Gruppo De Rigo, this project brings eyewear into a new dimension where luxury becomes immaterial and delves instead into the virtual dimension.

Paris saw the launch of a limited edition drop of 1,000 phygital glasses in model SPP008. Each pair of glasses is associated to a series number and comes with a special box equipped with a monitor where it is possible to preview the unique version of the NFT (non-fungible-token) created for that model by Antoni Tudisco, internationally-renowned 3D artist who founded the artistic duo “Crypto King$” together with Philipp Plein.

To access their own NFT artwork, the customer must scan the QR code provided inside the special box.

In reality, the Philipp Plein brand is a pioneer in this field, being the first luxury brand to adopt cryptocurrency as a payment method, and opening a Crypto Concept Store in London.
