In collaboration with the Kore Anti-Violence Center, the Federation promotes the Milan stop of this traveling initiative against violence towards women.
The red shoes exhibit will be hosted in Milan from December 9 to 15.
Confindustria Accessori Moda, the federation representing the leading sectors of the Italian leather goods supply chain, announces its commitment to supporting the Milan stop of the project “Red Shoes: When Design Becomes a Symbol. Walking Together to Say NO to Violence Against Women” in collaboration with the Kore Anti-Violence Center.
This initiative is spearheaded by the Young Members Group of Confindustria Accessori Moda, highlighting their focus on social responsibility issues.
The project features an exhibit showcasing a unique collection of red shoes, specially crafted and donated by Italian footwear companies, as a universal symbol of the fight against gender-based violence.
The traveling exhibit will be hosted in Milan at Spazio Lineapelle from December 9 to 15, 2024.
The inaugural event for the Milan stop, scheduled for December 9, will include participation by Carlo Briccola, President of the Young Members Group. After the opening, the exhibit will be open to the public daily from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
“We are proud to support this socially valuable initiative, which represents the intersection of creativity, design, and the essential social commitment to raising awareness about an urgent issue. The collaboration between our companies and the Kore Anti-Violence Center demonstrates that the fashion and accessories sector can actively contribute to driving cultural change. Furthermore, I am particularly pleased to highlight that this initiative originated from our Young Members Group, a clear sign of growing sensitivity toward such delicate themes. We hope that attention to women’s issues in the news will increasingly shift from tragic stories to stories of vitality and female success, including in the entrepreneurship we represent,” said Giovanna Ceolini, President of Confindustria Accessori Moda.
