The members' assembly of Confindustria Accessori Moda, the Italian Federation uniting footwear, leather goods, fur, and tanning sectors, unanimously elected Giovanna Ceolini as the new President, with Claudia Sequi named as Vice President.
Giovanna Ceolini brings significant leadership experience in the leather, footwear, and components sectors. She has been Founder and CEO of "Parabiago Collezioni srl" since 1999, held key roles, including Vice President of Assocalzaturifici, focusing on internationalization in Europe and the USA, and was recently elected President of the same Association.
“I look positively towards the future of Confindustria Accessori Moda, despite current challenges and difficult conditions. Throughout this term, I aim to further highlight and promote the potential of the fashion accessory industry in Italy and globally, relying on the collaboration and support of the entire Presidential Council and all Directors of our Associations,” says Giovanna Ceolini. She adds: “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the outgoing president, Annarita Pilotti, who took on the interim role courageously last January in a complex period. Annarita has led our Federation with commitment and determination, and though she will not continue in this position, she has promised to remain by our side.”
During her term, Giovanna Ceolini will focus on several key objectives: promoting technical training through strengthened relationships with schools and universities, supporting companies toward sustainability in line with European regulations, and encouraging digital technologies to enhance efficiency and skills. On an international level, she will work to facilitate Italian companies' access to strategic markets, including Korea, Kazakhstan, the USA, and Dubai, and enhance collaboration among international fairs to increase the sector's competitiveness.
