Eye health prevention event at the Foro Italico in Rome from October 12 to 13
This year, CDV ETS will participate for the first time in the Tennis & Friends – Health and Sports event to offer free eye exams performed by ophthalmologists, opticians, and orthoptists.
Sports, entertainment, wellness, and prevention activities will be the focus of the three-day 14th edition of the event, which will take place at the Foro Italico in Rome from Friday, October 11 to Sunday, October 13.
Founded in 2011, Tennis & Friends' main goal is to promote a culture of prevention through sports and healthy lifestyles. Over the years, the event has seen a constant increase in visitors and screenings: last year, over 80,000 people attended the main edition in Rome, and more than 30,000 free exams were performed.
Starting from Saturday, October 12, the Tennis & Friends Health Village will officially open its doors to the public. For two days, CDV ETS will provide visitors with a specialized team to carry out eye exams and offer medical consultations, with the following hours: Saturday, October 12 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday, October 13 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The eye exams will be performed using the best equipment from technology partners, including market leaders Essilor, Zeiss, and Frastema Ophthalmics, while the GreenVision group will support CDV’s initiative by providing optical professionals.
CDV ETS's participation in Tennis & Friends is part of a broader program supporting significant sports events across the country, in line with its commitment to promoting values related to research, health, and well-being at all ages.

We are participating in Tennis & Friends to expand our screening activities and raise public awareness about the importance of regular eye exams. Through our new 'Vision and Sports' campaign, launched just a few weeks ago, we aim to promote best practices for good vision during all sports activities, with special attention to outdoor sports requiring UV protection," says Vittorio Tabacchi, president of the Defense of Vision Commission ETS.
