CDV: launch of the "Vista e Sport" campaign
A new commercial and active participation in a series of sports events, including "Tennis and Friends," the Women's Serie A Volleyball Championship, and "Cardio Race"
October, the month dedicated to vision prevention, is approaching, and Commissione Difesa Vista ETS is launching the new awareness campaign "Vista e Sport" to educate people on proper vision during all sports activities, promoting the use of tools that protect the eyes and, at the same time, help improve athletic performance. This is an important step toward integrating visual health into both amateur and professional sports.
The campaign features numerous initiatives supported by CDV, starting in autumn with participation in prominent sports events across the country, such as "Tennis and Friends," the Women's Serie A Volleyball Championship, "Cardio Race," as well as the nationwide broadcast of the new CDV commercial, "Vista e Sport."
For the second consecutive year, CDV is supporting the Cardio Race in Rome, from October 4th to 6th at the Capannelle Racecourse, an event created to raise awareness about heart health, promote research on cardiovascular diseases, and prevent sudden cardiac death. Furthermore, for the first time, CDV will partner with Tennis and Friends, taking place from October 11th to 13th at the Foro Italico in Rome. Sport, entertainment, and medical prevention will be the highlights of the three-day event in the capital. At both events in Rome, CDV will offer free eye screenings at a dedicated stand, thanks to the collaboration of ophthalmologists, orthoptists, and volunteer opticians from GreenVision.
All screening initiatives will be made possible through the collaboration between CDV and its technological partners ZEISS, ESSILOR, and Frastema Ophthalmics, who have provided the best equipment to carry out the tests.
At the heart of the "Vista e Sport" awareness campaign is the commercial designed and conceived by CDV, which will be broadcast on major national television channels with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of eye protection in sports.
"Optimal vision is essential not only for overall health but also for ensuring excellent athletic performance," says CDV ETS President Vittorio Tabacchi. "During physical activity, the eyes are among the most strained organs, so it’s crucial to protect them properly. Moreover, considering that many sports activities take place outdoors, it's vital to remember the potential damage caused by UV rays: protecting vision is not just a matter of performance, but also of long-term health. With this initiative, we aim to raise awareness among people, from the youngest to adults, about the importance of taking care of their vision during sports. It’s not just about prevention; it’s about improving the quality of life and performance in every activity."
