Shortly after the launch of smart glasses Ray-Ban Stories, the result of a partnership between Facebook and Luxottica, the brand launches an unprecedented product into the market: the first ever Ray-Ban Aviator NFTs, an exclusive virtual product that offers a unique brand experience.
Ray-Ban has entrusted the graphic work to a German artist based in Berlin, Oliver Latta, better known by the pseudonym “Extraweg”. This artist is famous for his highly provocative 3D motion design works, which express the emotions and difficulties of modern society.
The artist Oliver is inspired by daily life situations, as he often creates ambiguous and unsettling images that provoke strong emotions in viewers, forcing them to think with their own minds.
Ray-Ban will organise a digital charity auction on the biggest NFT marketplace in the world, OpenSea, where customers can make a direct bid for the work by @extraweg. Our best-loved and iconic model, Aviator, will feature in the bespoke NFT: thus, the first NFT Ray-Ban Aviators in history will be created. The auction will start on 27 October and end on 29 October. All profits will be donated to charity.
