Starting from March 6, a series of events, both on-site and online, to discover the two-year course
At the Politecnico Internazionale dell’Occhiale in Longarone, the Open Days of the ITS Eyewear Product Manager high-specialization course are beginning. A unique opportunity for all young people who dream of a future as protagonists in the eyewear world to discover how the course is structured—a sort of master’s degree and a rewarding alternative to a short-degree program—to enter a district that produces over 70% of mid-to-high-end eyewear and sets global trends.
The two-year post-diploma course, promoted by Fondazione ITS Cosmo and organized by Certottica Group, a multidisciplinary hub of knowledge, talents, and 360° projects for the eyewear industry, will present the 2025-2027 program, designed to provide the skills to become creators of future eyewear collections, analyzing fashion and market trends.
OPEN DAYS & SELECTIONS: HOW TO PARTICIPATE
With the ITS Eyewear Product Manager, a true investment in the future of Made in Italy, Certottica Group confirms its vocation to guide innovation in the sector. And to discover the course, it has organized several events, on-site at the Politecnico Internazionale dell’Occhiale in Longarone (via Malcolm 1) on March 21, April 11, and May 16, 2025 (3:30 PM - 5:30 PM), with visits to the Longarone laboratories and meetings with the faculty, and online on March 6, April 2, and April 29, 2025 (4:00 PM - 5:30 PM). To participate, it is necessary to register on the website of Fondazione ITS Cosmo (www.fondazioneitscosmo.it).
A QUALITY LEAP IN EYEWEAR EDUCATION
The event is also a chance to connect directly with professors, tutors, and students, and get a close look at the 3D design classrooms, where students will have the opportunity to develop new ideas and express their creativity through cutting-edge laboratories. Participants will also be able to work on projects in collaboration with major companies in the Eyewear Valley.
“This new two-year course,” explains Sara Trevisan, the course coordinator, “further strengthens the link between education and industry. Students will have access to advanced technological tools and a direct network with top companies in the sector.”
2,000 HOURS TO ENTER THE GLOBAL MARKET
The ITS Eyewear Product Manager Course, recognized at the European level (EQF Level 5), offers 1,200 hours of classroom lessons and laboratory activities, with a focus on advanced software such as Rhinoceros 3D and prototyping techniques, and 800 hours of guaranteed internship in leading companies in the sector. At the end of the course, participants will receive a Higher Technical Diploma with an employment rate of over 90%. The course also allows a wide range of career paths, with training for roles such as Product Manager (collection development), Eyewear Designer (innovative design), and Prototype Specialist (3D printing and modeling). The selections for the 2025-2027 biennium will take place on May 21, 2025.
