A virtual art gallery for emerging artists
Foscarini has rethought communication conventions on social media by evolving their storytelling in an unprecedented and distinctive way, transforming @foscarinilamps Instagram feed into a virtual place that gives voice to well-known or emerging artists from the visual arts world, with the aim of sharing beauty, fun and wonder. The kaleidoscopic project, called What's in a lamp?, has as protagonists international artists and content creators of different backgrounds who, following the Foscarini brand's narrative thread, share its essence, its inspirations and its collections, thus creating a contemporary art space.
Luca Font – a multi-talented Italian artist – opened the scene in January 2023 with an unprecedented series of modernist-inspired illustrations with geometric and lively elements. During the first semester he was followed by Noma Bar, Oscar Pettersson and Federico Babina; Maja Wro?ska and in August Kevin Lucbert, who with a simple ballpoint pen creates and develops landscapes that are sometimes real, sometimes dreamlike. His unique style blurs the line between writing, drawing and painting.
Lucbert ventured into the Foscarini catalogue, giving free rein to his imagination. The result is surreal landscapes infused with his characteristic style.
