Rectangular, round, cat-eye, and more: sunglasses are the true stars on the red carpet

Amidst the allure of glamorous events and the most anticipated film premieres, celebrities continue to flaunt iconic sunglasses, with distinctive shapes and colors on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival.

Signed by the most prestigious fashion brands, these sunglasses shone as brightly as the gowns worn by the stars. Among actors, directors, and influencers in attendance, sunglasses were the perfect accessory to complete breathtaking looks and reinforce their status as style icons at one of the world’s most prestigious film events.

Among the celebrities who graced the red carpet was Angelina Jolie in Valentino Eyewear with the XXII frame by Akoni Group, a rectangular model sculpted to emphasize volume, adorned with iconic 3D studs on both the front and the temples. Supermodel Eva Herzigova was captured wearing oversized glasses by Etro (Safilo), while British model and actress Amy Jackson opted for an Eyewear by David Beckham model. The stunning Isabella Ferrari arrived at the Festival sporting a model by Carolina Herrera (Safilo), also worn during the photocall.

Actress Miriam Leone looked impeccable with the Fendi First model by Fendi for her daytime look and the FF Diamond Fendi model for the Red Carpet. The iconic Sigourney Weaver, awarded this year with the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, was spotted at the Lido wearing the Celine Bold 3 Dots model by Celine, a variation of which was also chosen by Australian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee. Alba Rohrwacher, who presented "Maria," was captured wearing the DiorSignature model by Christian Dior. Model and socialite Poppy Delevingne opted for the same Celine Bold 3 Dots model by Celine.

Among the special guests was the one and only Lady Gaga, star of Todd Phillips' film "Joker: Folie à Deux." Even though the sun had already set, the new Harley Quinn didn't shy away from wearing dark sunglasses—a double and dark frame by Celine, which added a sophisticated touch to her style. The result? An irresistibly glam-vintage look.
