
The winner of the Compasso D'oro International Award
The first edition of the ADI Compasso d'Oro International Award, dedicated in 2015 to Design for Food and Nutrition, concluded on 2 December. The awarded designs included: Canna di fucile 2011 - die for pasta production, designed by Michele Cuomo and produced by Pastificio Fratelli Setaro; for the category "Design of production processes", an equal tie to the two-door Door-in-Door refrigerator designed and produced by LG Electronics and Shy, a multi-purpose mezzaluna knife designed by Paolo Metaldi and produced by Viceversadue. The ‘International Targa Giovani’ award of 30,000 euro, dedicated to a project developed in a design school, went to Solari - a portable device for solar cooking designed by Bodin Hon of the Ied Istituto Europeo di Design.
