PITTI IMMAGINE AND MIDO TOGETHER AGAIN FOR POP-EYE

PITTI IMMAGINE AND MIDO TOGETHER AGAIN FOR POP-EYE

At the Central Pavilion, Pitti Uomo 87 until January 16, 2015 POP-EYE is an area in Pitti Immagine that is entirely dedicated to eyewear: an ambitious project that began with the intention of exploring the increasingly close relationship between fashion and eyewear in the name of creativity, the most sophisticated design, the highest quality and stylistic research. Following the huge success of the pilot edition in June 2014, the collaboration has been renewed between Pitti Immagine - the fair-event devoted to special fashion and lifestyle projects - and MIDO, the leading international fair in the eyewear sector. At the Central Pavilion of Pitti Uomo 87 in Florence until January 16, 2015, and decorated by creative talent Alessandro Moradei, POP-EYE is an important meeting place for the most demanding national and international top buyers and the most renowned eyewear companies seeking new inspiration and infectious creativity. For the January 2015 edition POP-EYE proposes a precise selection of eyewear brands with a distinctive presence in the fashion world: from David Marc, Dom Vetro, Etnia Barcelona, to Eyepetizer, Finlay & Co.; from Les Pieces Uniques, Oxydo to Pugnale & Nyleve, Sunpocket, Spektre. "POP-EYE is the new and positive development of promotional actions and awareness-raising that MIDO supports and encourages with a view to creating dialogue and regular constructive meetings of the various exhibiting companies that also operate in contexts other than those of their customary fair" - said MIDO president Cirillo Marcolin. "It is an opportunity for valuable collaboration that confirms the desire of MIDO and Pitti Immagine to look at the future together, to find new synergies between the now inexorably linked worlds of fashion and eyewear in the interests of the creativity and innovation that characterize successful Italian products on the international stage."
