Jonathan Demme wins the Persol Award

Persol's strong bond with the world of cinema has remained unchanged over time. It has resulted in the collaboration between Persol and the Venice International Film Festival with the “Persol Tribute to Visionary Talent Award” which has been confered to American director Johnathan Demme. Our award celebrates in 2015 a revolutionary artist, an icon of the USA movie industry." Jonathan Demme is considered to be one of the most important authors in contemporary cinema. He is a director, producer and screenwriter. He has directed unforgettable world-famous masterpieces such as The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and Philadelphia (1993).
